The Woman
A beaded dress, blitzy, with pretty fringe and golden straps.

One evening I was listening for bullfrogs in the marshy yard outside my grampa’s old house.
The Juncture
Deeply moored beneath a carpet of clay, some gravel, decaying humus, and a warren of refuse-- a limestone cave swells in a small cavity of dripping bedrock.
Scratchywarm
Night time comes and I scoot into bed and little gnomes pull the covers over my head and scratch my skin til I’m warm
Double Dog Dare
It rained when we visited - we hadn't been prepared We dried off by her fireplace and tried not to stare The kids from the neighborhood said her eyes were like moons Her hair reached the floor and she spoke only in runes
To my therapist-
It’s because my tail’s a mile from my head That I feel a sense of nervous dread When my head turns left while my tail stays straight Cuz it’s VERY hard to concentrate!
